R. Harston, M.D.
Dr. Harston's fundamental belief that "All
People are Created Equal" is apparent in the way he relates
to his patients. But that belief doesn't end after office hours.
Dr. Harston has spent time as a medical team volunteer on mission
trips to countries such as Chile and Honduras. Additionally, he has
served on the Board of Directors of Charlotte Rescue Mission and
the Board of Deacons of Providence Baptist Church.
Dr. Harston received his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky
University and his medical degree from University of Louisville School
of Medicine. He then went on to Carolinas Medical Center where he
completed his internship and residency. He's been practicing at Randolph
OBGYN Associates since 1983 and has been board certified since 1985.
He was awarded the 1987-88 Harold Sluder Memorial Teaching Award
as the Outstanding Clinical Instructor, OB/GYN. He also has served
two terms as Chief of OB/GYN at Carolinas Medical Center. He has been featured in "Charlotte's Best Doctors" in the Charlotte Business Journal for the last 12 years.
Dr. Harston is married and has a son. He enjoys woodworking and collecting
